The grand launch of Reaping a Community Harvest, Celebrating 100 Years of England’s Rural Community Councils
A key part of the ACRE/RCCs Centenary celebration was the commissioning of a book of the network’s first 100 years. Written by Prof Nigel Curry, and sponsored by the Carnegie UK Trust, the book was formally launched at this alumni event on 24 November 2021, immediately preceding ACRE’s AGM 2021. The event was also an opportunity to hear about the progress of the other Centenary initiatives, including the 100 Rural Years website and the growth of the alumni network.
